The Right Company for the JobFor over 83 years – since 1932 – National Roofing and Siding Co. Inc. has been operating under the same name and by the same family. The company was started by Julian J. Loeb at the South Claiborne location and remained there for 71 years. His son, Milton J. Loeb, started at the company in 1955 after graduating in engineering in 1951 and serving four years in the U.S. Navy. Milton remains at the head and active in all phases with this his being his sixtieth year.

 

National Roofing and Siding Co. Inc. has re-roofed many commercial buildings and many of the schools in St. Charles parish. Places such as DuPont Chemical, American Cyanamid, the courthouse roof and many others. We re-roofed the Ford Motor plant in Jacksonville, Florida. In New Orleans, we have re-roofed many schools, the National Gypsum, numerous Bellsouth telephone buildings and many LP&L buildings. National Roofing and Siding Co. Inc. replaced the slate roof on the old city hall. In addition to the hundreds of commercial buildings, National Roofing and Siding Co. Inc. has also replace or repaired over 175,000 residential homes.

In 1972, National Roofing and Siding Co. Inc. introduced the single-ply modified bitumen at the roofing convention, which was in the city in 1973. We have demonstrated the process to the conventioneers and applied the roofing materials on a section of the Roosevelt Hotel.
